This charter seeks to provide a framework which enables our users to know:

What services are available in this hospital and the quality of services, they are getting. They also come to know about the redressal of any complaint regarding denial or poor quality of services.

Inquiry, Reception and Registration Services are available round the clock.

–Two staff members are on duty on two different windows at the inquiry counter.

–One window is exclusively for giving patient-related information of indoor patients.

–The other window is for processing indoor admission case sheet and the issue of the attendant pass.

–Location guide maps have been put up at various places in this hospital.

–The directional sign boards are fixed at strategic points for guidance.

Casualty Emergency Services

These services are available round the clock.

The main casualty includes Trauma, Surgical, Orthopedics, Medicine, Paediatrics and are located in Block-C on Ground Floor. It is roughly 200 meters from Hospital main gate.


  • Casualty medical officer (CMO) is available round the clock.
  • Specialist doctors are available on call apart from resident doctors.
  • Major and Minor OTs are functional 24 hrs.
  • One emergency OT is functional separately round the clock for OBG & Gynae patients in A- Block on the ground floor.
  • In critical cases, management gets priority over paperwork like registration and medico-legal formalities.
  • The Hospital has high-end ambulance to transport the patients to higher centers.
  • The pharmacy is open 24 hrs.

Patients coming to OPD of Venkateshwara Institute of Medical Sciences and Hospital find a congenial and helpful atmosphere. Various Public Friendly Facilities exist in the OPD Registration Area of the OPD Building in Block- B. The computerized registration system is available with separate counters for male, female and senior citizens. The OPD timing is from 09 AM to 04 PM.

Ground Floor, C- Block- Surgery, Orthopaedics, ENT, Physiotherapy.

First Floor, C-Block – Medicine, Dentistry, Skin & VD, Psychiatry, Dermatology, Ophthalmology.

Visitors are allowed between 12:00 noon to12:30 pm

05.00 p.m. to 05.30 p.m.

Staff nurses are on duty round the clock in the ward.

  • Cold drinking water available on every floor and in every reception area.
  • Wheelchairs and trolleys are available in OPD, casualty, and ICUs.
  • 24hrs Ambulances are available on payment of nominal charges.
  • Stand-by electricity generators have been provided inside the hospital
    • Pharmacy counters are available inside the hospital which is open round the clock
    • Canteen for patients and their attendants are available with food available on subsidized rate.
  • Lifts are available in hospital and college blocks.
  • Adequate toilet facilities for the use of patients and their attendants are available.

Complaints and grievances redressal Cell

A Grievances Redressal Cell (GRC) is working under the chairmanship of Medical Superintendent, Member secretary along with two members. The complaints can be lodged telephonically on 08191005718. This number is displayed on our website The complaint/Suggestion Boxes are installed on the strategic public locations in the hospital.           The complaint/Suggestion Boxes are opened weekly in the presence of Public Relation Officer. The complaints or suggestions received in the boxes or through M.S. Office are registered and acknowledged to the applicant. The complaints/suggestions are examined in the weekly meeting of GRC under the chairmanship of Med. Supdt. The follow-up actions on the pending complaints/suggestions are also discussed in the weekly meeting. If required, the recommendation of the committee is subsequently sent to the Management for taking action as recommended by GRC. The action on the Complaint/Suggestion is informed to the applicant.
